We've been playing a writing game lately. Every member of the family who can write (which takes us all the way down to our sixth, who happens to be six years old) has 90 seconds to write something, then the page gets passed along the the next person. The results are...well, you'll see for yourself."This is the best day ever!" That's what Sammy the Skunk said. You may be wondering what makes a skunk have a nice day. Is it having a chance to spray a surprised hiker? Or finding an especially nice trash can to dig through?
For Sammy, it was listening to old Disney soundtracks.
He snickered and twitched his tail to "I'll Make a Man Out of You." "Tranquil as a forest..." he warbled tunelessly.
Suddenly, the music faded, and ceased altogether. He frowned, displeased.
"Aw dang, that was my favorite part!" He peered over the window sill he was sitting on to find the CD player.
"I am afraid you won't be able to find your CD player," said a mysterious voice. Sammy the Skunk looked out of the window, searching for the newcomer. It was a cranky raccoon, all stinky smell and black stripes. "Hey you! My name's Frankie! And I have ninja skills!" he said, climbing up the side of the building that Sammy was on.
One look and Sammy knew his CD player was gone--perhaps he could get it later. He slammed the window shut, then ran to his bathroom, quivering. He couldn't relax until his bathroom door was locked. Maybe he would have a better day tomorrow.
